The Right Dog

There are certain breed characteristics which owners may or may not desire (ie. high energy). But just because you have a high energy breed doesn't mean that the dog you pick from that breed will be high energy. There is the full range of personalities from a shrinking violet to boisterous outgoing in every litter. Puppies' personalities are set at birth and there are several behavioral tests that can be given to determine what kind of personality your puppy has. When you know the type of personality of your puppy, then you can work with that to mold the dog into a suitable companion.
